Takashi's also an optimist and tries to help out his friends. A smile can usually be found on his face, though when the situation calls for it, he knows how to be serious. For example: When he's on the soccer field. Once that ball is in front of his feet, you better get out of the way. That calm and gentle shtick goes flying out the window.
History: Takashi's father, the Brazilian Victor DaRosa, and his mother, the Japanese Momo Hitori, met in the United States during the FIFA World Cup. Brazil took the cup that year. Victor wasn't on the national team, but he was definitely jumping around in the stands to cheer on his friends who were. In his victory dance, waving around the Brazilian flag, Victor actidently bumped into a little Japanese woman who walking down the stairs. Momo's arm-full of sodas and popcorn flew into the air, and she and Victor toppled down the stairs. At the end of their plummet, Momo was on top of Victor, tangled up in his flag. The two stared at each other, wide eyed for a moment. Luckily, Victor spoke enough English to ask "Are you okay?" Momo didn't answer for a moment, but nodded. Helping her up, Victor checked her over to make sure she was okay. He took her to buy her new drinks and a new bag of popcorn, to replace the ones that fell. When he walked her back to her friends (two other women her age) they all began to snicker and say things in Japanese. Victor didn't know what was being said but he knew whatever it was caused Momo to blush. Giving a small 'thank you' Momo went and sat beside her friends. It was only after Victor had walked away that he looked back and realized Momo was still wrapped up in his flag. He smiled lightly, and continued walking off, letting her keep it.
Long story short, fate worked it's magic and brought the two of the together once more. Victor asked Momo to marry him, and she said yes (well, the first few times he asked, she said no, but eventually she said yes.) Takashi was born shortly after the DaRosa's moved to Japan, where the Hitori family resided, to be closer to Momo's family Takashi was raised playing soccer, just like his father, while at the same time developing a love of literature from his mother.
He's grown up making reasonable grades and has had an easy life. The only struggle he has had as been with reading and mathematics. He suffers from dyslexia, but doesn't talk about it.
